Privacy Policy

This explains what personal data Landfall (Landfall) collects, why, and your rights. We follow the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: main.landfall@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, name and whether you're a guide or a recruiter.
• Guide profiles: what you choose to add — photo, specialty, roles, home base, experience, certifications, languages, regions, work history, links and availability. This is public.
• Company pages and jobs: what recruiters add (public once approved).
• Applications: which jobs you applied to, your note, and the status — shared with that company only. Recruiters' private notes stay within their company.
• Messages: your conversations, visible only to the two people in them. If you report a conversation, the last messages are shared with our admin to review it.
• Usage: when you were last on the site, which recruiters viewed a guide profile (guides only see a count), what emails we sent you, and anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Analytics, no cookies).

Why we use it (legal basis)

• To run the service you signed up for — profiles, jobs, applications, messages, login emails (contract).
• To keep the site safe — spam checks, reports, abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
• For notification emails and digests — you can switch each one off in Settings or with the link in every email.

We don't sell your data and don't show ads.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase — database, logins and file storage (servers in the EU/UK).
• Vercel — hosting and anonymous analytics.
• Resend — sending emails.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — the invisible anti-spam check on the login page.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/UK, under standard contractual safeguards.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary: the one that keeps you logged in (and Cloudflare's security check). No advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. When you delete your account in Settings, your profile, applications, messages and login are deleted. Email logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can see and correct most of your data yourself, and delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct, restrict or delete it, by emailing main.landfall@gmail.com. You may complain to your data protection authority (for example the ICO in the UK or the CNIL in France).
